  It's important to mention that improving in your karate is less like taking steps on a ladder and more like going deeper in water; feeling the pressure build.  As you learn new kata you must improve the kata you've already learned. 

  Moving faster and more powerfully with greater precision  If kata are performed without intention then they're no different than dance.  

  Kata are like books.  They preserve knowledge of techniques that would otherwise be forgotten.  It's why they most be practiced diligently.

  This is the most important belt.  It's the belt of commitment.  Without this there's no chance of earning your black belt and beyond.  You know what you have to do if you don't have this belt.  Join.

  You've done it.  The requirements for this belt are as unique as the person being tested.  Every rank before this (Kyu) are the ranks of knowledge.  The ranks of black belt (Dan) are ranks of understanding.
